Hello geeky travellers! In case it’s your first time around, welcome to In Constant Resfeber. I’m Jime and here you will find some of my adventures and experiences around the world and how I made it happen.

Let me go back and tell you a bit more about myself. I was born in 1987 (you do the math of how old I am =P) in Buenos Aires Argentina.Since forever I’ve been weird and a geek, to the point where I used to force my sister to memorise country flags with me as a kid ( I am still a big country flag geek, I play every game I can find). When I was around 5 years old I decided I wanted to leave my home and family and travel the world on a hot air balloon, not at a dreamer AT ALL.

I didn’t get to travel much abroad while growing up but I did get to visit a little bit of Argentina.Once I finished High School I did my first long trip, one month backpacking through Europe with my aunt. That trip blew my mind and as soon as I landed back home i told my mum “Next time I am going for longer”.

All my crazy dreams stayed on stand by for about 5 years. I went to collage, graduated, got a job and life went its course. But after 2 years of working I have had enough, I hated everything and everyone, I just didn’t like my life. So I decided to use all the money I had saved since I started my job (which wasn’t really much) and applied for the working holiday visa (WHV) in New Zealand. In case you don’t know what a WHV is, it’s a visa that, usually, allows you to stay in a country for a year while you work and travel in it.

I left Argentina less than 20 days after my visa got approved and it was a game changer. In November 2009 I left the place I called home for almost 23 years and moved, by myself, to the other side of the world. That experience changed my life, I realised what I wanted (to travel and explore more) and what I didn’t want (to live in Argentina).I have been travelling and living around the world ever since.I usually travel on my own because I got tired of waiting for other people to join me. And no, I’m not rich, I never have enough money but because I am so good at budgeting I, somehow, always make it work.

In my life time, so far, I’ve lived in 5 different countries, visited 40+ countries and many many cities, towns villages. I’ve been to popular places like Berlin as well as crazy adventures like travelling from London to Singapore during 8 months without taking a flight. Also visited remote countries that not many know about like Nauru and Tuvalu. I have even fulfilled my childhood dream of going on a hot air balloon ride (just a short one in Laos).

I think every country has something to offer, so every place is worth exploring. I know you might want to go somewhere but it seems expensive or you don’t know how to make thing work but with planning and researching you can get there. I’m all for affordable travelling, I know how hard it is to save when you live in a country where you don’t earn much or your currency is not the strongest but, if you want you can make it work too.So join me, stay here and let’s travel the world together. I’ll take you with me and share my experiences and give you an insight of how I got there and what you need.

Who knows where we are going next!!!
